The station focuses primarily on the music, with news, traffic and weather sprinkled in along with fun facts of the age, retro trivia, and local information on events happening in and around Chattanooga. Hippie Radio 106.9 targets an audience that’s well educated, responsible for more than half of all consumer spending, and with 40% of the U.S. population over the age of 50, controls 75% of financial assets.

Shift is an awareness campaign emphasizing the importance of strong school systems in Chattanooga and beyond. It begins with a series of public ads containing local education data, a promotional website, and tools to foster a deeper level of civic engagement in the sociopolitical issues surrounding public education. The mission of Shift is to drive continuous improvement of public schools with the support of local citizens.

Chef and owner Teddy Kyriakidis came to America in 1951. He brought with him the tastes and smells from the streets of Athens and the hills of the countryside. With over 55 years experience, he presents the very best Greek food and regional cuisine, all with a contemporary twist.

The Kyriakidis family moved to the Chattanooga area in 1982. The first restaurant they opened was Little Athens in East Ridge, where they proudly served the finest food for over 13 years.

Dreaming of a restaurant that embodied the true spirit of Greece, the Kyriakidis family opened the Acropolis Four Stars Grill in July 1995 at Hamilton Place.
